On Thursday, July 6, 2023, a meeting was held in the company’s conference room by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Emaar Libya Holding Company. Present at the meeting were Mr. Abdelmonem Hamad Al-Sharif, a member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Walid Muftah Swani, the Legal Department Manager of the company; Mr. Osama Rajab Al-Jehani, the General Manager of the Marisa Free Zone, accompanied by Mr. Abdulnaser Abdulhamid Najm, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Free Zone and a member of the Investment and Privatization Authority of Benghazi; and Mr. Fahad Jamal, a legal advisor.

The meeting revolved around the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Marisa Free Zone and Emaar Libya Holding Company for investment in the tourism sector and participation in the infrastructure development of the Marisa Free Zone. The two parties also agreed to organize a joint workshop in the upcoming days about the Free Zone.
